Your Trusted TOTAL Doberman Breeder
Doberman Fields’, is a small family “hobby breeder” located in the lower Hudson Valley region of New York. We are committed to the protection, preservation, and promotion of the incredible Doberman breed. Our dream and journey began in 2014, and our first litter was whelped in 2018. With the help of our whole family, including our children, grandchildren, eight dogs, two cats, and our Bearded Dragon “Toothless,” we create a structured and loving environment – the perfect setting for our Dobermans to thrive.
Mission Statement
We believe our breeding program has the knowledge and information, as well as the heart, drive, and dedication, to produce healthy, well-bred Dobermans AKC, UKC, and DPCA Breed Standards demand the TOTAL Doberman. We also hope that by sharing ALL of our heath test results, whether OFA/DPCA recommended or not, you will learn to look for these tests and results in ALL Doberman Breeders.
We want you to know WHY such intensive screening, record keeping, and public access to the breeder’s records (AND being able to prove those records are accurate and honest) are SO vital to the health, well-being, and promise of tomorrow’s Doberman. Doberman Fields’ believes that no matter who your chosen breeder is, an educated and responsible buyer is equally important and necessary to protect, preserve, improve, and promote the TOTAL Doberman Breed we all hold so dear.

Supporting the DPCA
We fully support the DPCA’s position on the albino/white Doberman trait, as we believe in preserving the integrity of the breed. The DPCA has determined that the albinistic trait in the Doberman is deleterious (causing harm or damage) to the breed and should be considered a disqualifying genetic fault (this is described in the DPCA Standard and Code of Ethics).
It is our commitment to adhere to the DPCA Standard and Code of Ethics and discourage the spread of this deleterious trait in Dobermans. Any animal coded with “W” as the first two letters of its AKC registration should not be bred, including Albino/white Dobermans and their parents/litter mates. AKC prohibits Albino/white Dobermans from conformation shows, excluding them from being a part of the TOTAL Doberman.
Whether you are looking to raise a Doberman for dog shows or want to find the perfect Doberman companion for your family, Doberman Fields’ is the place to go. Learn more about our upcoming litters!
